Easter 2016

This year we went to Owatonna on Easter Sunday.  We went to our church and then headed down to Owatonna.  It was a chillier Easter since it was so early but we were still able to get outside.  The kids always love the Easter egg hunt and then we headed to Wilson School to play at the park, swing and I played a little soccer with Bishop!  He's quite the athlete already!!!  Love time with my family!!

Who is your Sweetie?

The other night Madelyn says to me "Were you Nana's sweetie?  Who will be my sweetie?  I like being your sweetie"  It's moments like this that just melt my heart because you can tell how much she is processing.  I couldn't love my baby girl anymore!  And here is MY sweetie :) :) :)

Silly Jack

Jack's teacher has sent me these 2 pictures recently.  She said I just can't help but smile when I see Jack!  He makes us all laugh and smile!  His best friend is Jason and the teachers say they are inseparable and have so much fun together.  It makes me happy to hear this as Jack has been hanging out with Madelyn and her friends for 3 years so it's fun for him to have his own friends.  Jack is at what seems to be almost the perfect age (although I know all the stages get better & better!) but he's old enough where we can have a conversation but he is still so innocent and full of so much love.  If I could just bottle him up at this stage I absolutely would!

Jack starts swimming lessons!

Last night was Jack's first swimming lesson......and he absolutely loved it!  He wasn't scared or apprehensive at all.  I wasn't sure how he would do when I left him in the lane with his teacher and swimming friends but he did awesome!  He has watched Madelyn over the last 9 months so he is ready for his own lessons!!  It was Madelyn's first lesson in Middle 3s and she of course couldn't wait.....she's our little fish!

Kindergarten Round Up!

Bus ride with mommy & daddy!
Last night we had Kindergarten round up for Madelyn.  It is so hard to believe that she is going to kindergarten this fall!  Even though she didn't know many kids, she did great.  They make it a very low pressure atmosphere and it was fun to see the kids interact and hear from the kindergarten teachers.  We got to take a bus ride which was a highlight.....even though Madelyn won't be riding the bus since she will be going to before/after school kids stop.  We ordered her supplies which for whatever reason started to make this whole process very real to me!  She is excited and every time we drive by Rush Creek she says "that's where I get to go to school in the fall!"  Our baby girl is growing up so fast but she is definitely ready!
