4th of July!

Our little firecrackers!
We had a great 4th of July weekend!  We were home and enjoyed doing lots of fun things around here.

We went to the Delano parade on the 4th.  It's the biggest parade in MN so we knew it would be a little crazy….and it was.  There were tons of people there.  We got there at 10:40 (parade started at 10:30) and when we left at 12:20 the parade was still going!  We only watched the parade for 15-20 minutes and then we had lunch and rode the merry-go-round.  The kids loved walking around and Jack had a blast saying HI to everyone :)

One of Jack's highlights…..seeing a puppy!

Madelyn chose the stationary bench…...

Jack loved the up and down horsie!
That fits our children to a tee :)

Always gotta have ice cream at the fair!

Jack was wiped out from all the fun…..and the day was only 1/2 over!
Later that afternoon we went to Andy & Anna's.  They have a son who is Madelyn's age.  They love playing together.  Apparently the last time we were together Jack must have chewed on Elliott's toys because he didn't want Jack to do that again so everything was ok for Madelyn to have but not for Jack.  Of course Jack has no idea what's going on so he just proceeds about his normal business :)  Ryan, Madelyn, Andy & Elliott went on a canoe ride.  They had so much fun!  This is in their backyard.  Pretty amazing!  Then they made a bonfire and we had smores.  It will be even more fun to be there as Jack gets older - there's a little too much for him to get into/fall off of at this point in his life but he sure enjoyed it as did Madelyn.

Jack wasn't feeling the greatest.  I think it ended up to just be teeth but woke up from his nap and was warm and then he fell asleep on my shoulder during dinner.  He perked up after a short rest and wasn't ready to leave at 8:30!

Elliott, Madelyn & Jack

Daddy & Madelyn ready to embark on a canoeing adventure!

I love that they are holding hands!

Ready to take off…..

And their off!

Great family picture if Jack wasn't deathly afraid of the bonfire!
Saturday we went swimming, biked to a park, drove to a different park and then did some outside projects.  It was the perfect day to be outside!

Our little helper!
Sunday was more of the same…..we went to Elm Creek Park - amazing!  I had never been there.  Then since it was super muggy we decided to go swimming again.  MG Community Center has an outdoor pool but it's not heated so even when it's warm/hot outside the pool is pretty chilly and the kids gets cold.  We were hoping with it being so muggy that they would like the outdoor pool.  We swam outside for a bit and then ended indoors which was lots of fun!

What a great long weekend!  Long weekends always go by way too fast!
