Birthday Party and Bike Riding

Madelyn went to her first friend birthday party this past weekend.  It was a girl in her preschool class that she has talked about more lately......Whitney.....and she was having a Rainbow Dash birthday party.  Madelyn was so excited!  I had no idea who/what Rainbow Dash was but I quickly learned it was a My Little Pony.  So fun since I played with My Little Ponies when I was younger.  We had Nana bring up my collection of MLPs along with the stable so we could get ready for the birthday party!

I stayed at the party.  I didn't know what the proper protocol was but figured since this was Madelyn's 1st birthday party I would stay.  She did great although about half way through the party she started to get a little clingy.  Overall she had a blast and loved it!  There were 4 other girls from preschool so it was the perfect little party!  They had so many activities.....face painting, beads to make necklaces, piƱata, pin the tail on the pony, pizza, cake and presents!  Madelyn is now getting excited for her birthday......she is counting down the days until she turns 4!

While were were at the birthday party Jack was working on riding his strider bike with Daddy.  This was one of the first times he's been on the bike and he seemed to like it.  Hard to believe Jack will be striding along later this summer!

Daddy's Girl

Ryan has been working on some projects around the house and he has found himself a helper.  Madelyn loves helping daddy and is such a little sweetheart!  Ryan is always so patient and let's Madelyn do the measuring and he teaches her the different tools he is using.  She's definitely daddy's little girl!  Love these two!! :)

Play date and Date night

Last night we went out for dinner with the McCormick's.  Kati came over and watched all the kids.  It's a fun night for everyone.  The kids absolutely love and adore Ms Kati, Ms Kati enjoys seeing/playing with the kids and we get a date night out of the deal!

We went to NOLA Bistro and Wine Bar in Osseo.  It was the first time any of us had been there.  The food & drinks were delicious and they had live music which was awesome too!

The last time we went out we got home around 10:00 and the girls were up and dancing to Frozen so we thought the same would be true this time around.  Turns out the girls had so much fun that they were all curled up, sleeping under blankets when we got home.  They started their own slumber party!  I felt so bad that the McCormicks had to transport their girls but Erin said they didn't even move during the entire time from leaving our house to getting to their beds.  A fun night for all!
