Carla and I continued our tradition (I feel like I've talked a lot about traditions lately but it's so fun that we are developing our own traditions!!) of taking an afternoon to celebrate my birthday. I look forward to this afternoon just as much as I look forward to the afternoon when we celebrate her birthday! It's even more special as our time together is usually interrupted by the kids, getting a meal together or for some other reason that happens when our families are all together :) We've talked how we wouldn't change it for the world but it just makes our one on one time that much more special!
We went out for lunch and then went shopping at Ridgedale! She bought me my new favorite sweater! Thank you Carla for being you and for being the best friend I could ever ask for. You are way too good to me! I'm so thankful for the friendship we have and have no idea where I would be without you! I LOVE YOU!!! :)
