Bishop & Nora's Birthday Party

Auntie can't get enough of her 5 yr old nephew and 3 yr old niece!
Love you two to pieces!!!
We celebrated Bishop & Nora's birthday yesterday.  It was such a fun afternoon and evening.  We went to the Froehle house before the party so Bishop & Nora opened our presents and the kids played.  Then it was off to the YMCA for pizza, cake and playing in the maze/gym/bouncy house!  The kids loved it!  Madelyn and Nora had a blast and played together basically the whole time....laughing and giggling!  These two are like sisters - I love it!  Jack was such a big boy and he was able to most of the maze himself - he just needed a couple boosts when the step was too big.  He was so cute - he would get to the place he needed help and say "boost mommy".  Everyone loved the slides....even the adults!

The kids played and played and were exhausted by the end of the night!  I was thinking/hoping they would fall asleep or at least wind down in the car but they sang and talked the whole way home!  I'll take happy kids all day long!

Jack's 2 year check up

Someday Jack won't be happy with his mama
for posting this but for now.....
he loves his spidey pjs, John Deere and high shoes!
Last week we had Jack's 2 year check up.  He's doing great!  He's a happy, healthy little guy....who is growing up so fast!

Jack is saying so many words and putting together short sentences.  He is able to communicate what he wants.  Ahhhhh, so refreshing not having to guess and then we all end up frustrated.

He loves playing with his sister and they get along great with the exception of when he takes her "favorite" toy and runs to hide behind the couch.  Jack is the luckiest little brother as Madelyn basically give him whatever he wants.  She's way easier on him than his parents :)  He flashes his smile and our hearts melt!

Height: 35 3/4 in..... 84%
Weight: 32 lbs.......94%
Head Size: 17.6 cm.....76%
BMI: 49......71%

Happy 3rd Birthday Nora!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Nora!  It is hard to believe you are just turning 3.....you have grown up so much in the past year!  Your sweet smile and head tilt just melts our hearts - you are such a cutie!  Madelyn is always excited to play dolls/babies with you...all the girl stuff!  You two are like sisters....I love it!  And you are so good to Jack - always looking after him.  The "younger siblings" have to stick together :)  Your  special bond with Uncle Ryan is one of a kind!  As I look through pictures, I could post about 20+ pictures of you & Madelyn - you two are so photogenic and always having fun together!

We hope you have a terrific day turning 3!  We are so excited to celebrate with you on Sunday!  We love you so much sweet girl!

Happy 5th Birthday Bishop!

This is one of my favorites!
Your smile, laugh and
love for life is contagious!!!
Happy 5th Birthday Bishop!  How can you be 5 already?!?!  I will never ever forget the day you were born - waiting in the hospital waiting room, praying everything was going well.  Here we are 5 years later and you have grown up so much!  Our kids talk about you all the time!  Whenever we talk about basketball games, Jack says "Bishop Basketball" -- he watches you and looks up to you.  Madelyn has always wanted to do what you're doing and she loves riding in the same car with you - after Great Grandma Marlys' funeral she was in heaven that she got to ride with Bishop :)  Uncle Ryan and I love you so much and are proud to call you our nephew and love all the big hugs we get whenever we see you!  We can't wait to celebrate with you next weekend!!!  We love you Bishop!

Wait this is another one of my favorites because we had so much fun swimming together!

You two are always having fun together!
The "big" cousins!  So grown up!

The Works and a haircut

Yesterday we went to The Works Museum in Bloomington.  My sister was there last weekend for a birthday party and said it was really cool......so we decided to check it out.  We loved it!  It is an engineering type place which is right up Ryan's alley and the kids loved it too.  There were so many different things to do - we could have stayed longer but it was already close to 12:30 and we needed to eat lunch.  Such a fun morning!  I have a feeling we will be heading back :)

Later in the afternoon we went to get Madelyn's haircut.  She's had it trimmed a couple times but it was getting really long and since we are going to be starting swimming lessons soon I knew we had to get it cut.  She had 5 in cut off.  She looks so grown up - I can't believe it!  But I love it and I think this will cut down on the tears after bath time when we had to comb through all the snarls!

Happy 40th Birthday Daddy!!!

Happy 40th Birthday Daddy!  We started celebrating on Sunday and kept celebrating through the weekend -- it was so fun and the kids loved it!  We had Nana's birthday cake that she made for Ryan on Tuesday (his actual birthday) and then the kids and I made him a birthday cake over the weekend. We went out to eat on Friday night to Red Robin - it started off shaky with Jack running around but ended up to be a fun night!

Ryan, you are such an amazing dad and the kids absolutely adore you!  You are so patient with them and stay calm even when I'm ready to lose it :)  You make all of us so happy.  It's hard for me to remember my life before you as you have completed me and make every day my dream come true!  We are truly blessed to call you our husband and daddy!  We love you!!!!!

Happy Birthday Great Grandpa Ray!

Yesterday we got together at the Pizza Ranch in Lakeville to celebrate Great Grandpa Ray's 91st birthday!  Last year we had a surprise party for his 90th and everyone had so much fun that we thought we would do the same thing this year....just dropping the surprise part.....and including the adults who have Feb birthdays......Kyle and Ryan!  Everyone except Bob and Sandy were able to make it as they were vacationing in Florida.  We were there for 3 hours and the kids did great.  It's a perfect place because they can walk around since it's a buffet and there is a court/gym where they could run around and color.  Such a fun day celebrating and amazing how well my Grandpa is doing at 91!  I would never guess he's 91!  We love you Great Grandpa Ray!!!
