We had a great time! The water was pretty cold. Cal & Lyla swam but Madelyn wasn't up for it. I didn't blame her as I didn't want to get in either. We played in the sand and dipped our toes in the water. Jack had a great time taking it all in.
It rained in the afternoon which turned out to be fine. Madelyn was excited to play with all the "new" toys inside so she was happy. Jack napped for almost 2 hours! He has never done that before - I told Katie we'll be back up whenever we need Jack to sleep :) Jack still loves his jumper so he did that after he woke up and wore himself out and napped again but this time in his jumper.
It cleared off so we went out for a ride on the pontoon. Last year Madelyn was really scared and cried most of the time we were on the pontoon. This year was a completely different story - she loved it! She walked all over the pontoon and even helped Matt steer! She continues to talk about being on the boat so maybe we can get out there again one more time this summer.
We always have a great time with the Papke's. Cal & Lyla are so good to Madelyn! They always give up their toys or whatever they are doing for Madelyn. It is so neat to watch! Next year they will have a new baby boy so Jack will have a friend his age to play with :) Can't wait!
